Aaron walked among the pickets and cages, searching for a slave he would be able to tollerate.

Tatsu just sat, leaned against the picket he was chained to, waiting to be sold patiently.

Aaron looked the slave over, and noticing the male was a vampire, immediatly called over one of the auctioneers.

"100 gold crowns." he said.

The auctioneer looked stunned. "For that one? Sir, he's a vampire, and they tend to be-" Aaron held up a hand. "I said, 100 gold crowns. Now get the paperwork and the key."

Seeing the downright chilling look in the man's eyes, the auctioneer muttered "At once sir, just sign here." Aaron did so.

"Congratulations, Lord Devir. You own this vampire now, as the imperial records will show. Your key, and copy of the transaction, are here." Then, the auctioneer stumbled off to attend another customer.

He looked up at his new owner, slowly standing from his place and looking at the man, staying silent.

"Did I tell you to move?"

He stayed perfectly still, forgetting the first rule of being a slave: don't do anything until your told otherwise. He was still new to this, but that was not a good enough reason for him to have forgotten the rule.

"Tell me your name, slave."

"Tatsuya..." He replied in a low voice, not taking his eyes from his new owner.

"Tatsuya. Are you aware of what I am?"

He continued to keep his eyes on the man, smelling his blood and knowing he was a half wolf instantly. "Yes.."

"Good."

Aaron unlocked the chain from the picket.

"Are you aware of the fact that even in a fair fight, I could kill you without difficulty?"

"Yes." He replied, staying completely still.

"Good. Follow me."

Aaron kept a grip on the chain, but not a tight grip. It seemed that it was almost for symbolic value more than to restrain the vampire.

He began the walk back to his mansion.

He followed along without hesitation.
